Course 2
Making an “Memory Stream” app
Create a working app prototype where users can create posts about things that are important to them. You will create functions that let users sign in, write and save posts, and view their saved items.
Unit 1 – Idea generation and setup
Lesson 3 – Creating collections
In this lesson you will learn to make more collections for holding user information.
Now that we have screens for the 5 different functions of the app, we need to add collections to the app database so that we can save and display new entries.
Click on the Database section of the left menu. We will add a collection for each function. We already have User and Restaurant collections, so we will add 4 more. Click on the Add to Database button.
Add the following databases:
1. An Activities database with: Type of Activities (text), Number of minutes (number), Notes (text), Date of Activity (date).
We also need to add a property that is a relationship between Users and Activities - this lets us control how Activities are displayed. Click Add Property, then select Relationship. On the popup, select the top option - one User, multiple Activities.

2. An Ideas database with: Name, Description, Deadline for Printing. And add the same User relationship property as before - one user, multiple Activities. You should be able to work out the type of property for each one (number, text, etc)

3. A Books to Read database with: Book Title, Plot and Recommended. And a User relationship property - one user, multiple Activities.

4. A Creative Writing Notes database with: Idea and Note. And a User relationship property - one user, multiple Activities.

We will use these collections in the next lesson.
