There is also a lot of research in AI-driven personalised medicine, which uses patient data to tailor treatments based on the genetic, lifestyle, and environmental data of the patient. AI can speed up administrative tasks, such as hospital operations, predicting disease outbreaks, and improving drug discovery by analysing vast datasets. These advances are a transformative shift in healthcare, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and personalised care while paving the way for more precise diagnostics and targeted treatments.

AI has played an important role in understanding Covid-19 and for finding treatments. Teams of medical professionals and AI scientists have worked together to analyse medical data from Covid-19 patients, helping to understand how the disease works and predict how likely patients could develop long-term symptoms.
